A considerable amount of us may be starting college in a couple of months. It honestly looks a lot intimidating than expected. This can be a significant change in our lives, bundling up memories of school life and stepping into the 'fun' part of college life! While this can be exciting and scary, if I may say so, it's important we don't let mistakes of the past come our way; rather, consider them a learning. Here are some of my takeaways in setting my vibes right.
Stepping in
Meeting new people can be exciting and intimidating. You never know what kinda creatures there may be in the wild. I'm totally kidding. People are amazing! Being a part of the same school for about seven years, I found it peculiar to have moved to a new environment. The upside to having most of the batch as newbies was we all got along pretty well. I have made some of the fondest memories with the most incredible people I've met so far. Don't fall for notions like being an extrovert fits in the society. I'm not an extrovert myself. I'd say I'm more of an ambivert. You're great just the way you are. :) Everyone was once a first-timer, till they eventually got used to it. So if you find it awkward stepping foot in a completely new or maybe even a strange environment, know that with time, you'll fit right in.

2. Step out of your comfort zone
I'm sure we all have that one point where we don't feel the need to step out of what we have known. But it is important to explore the other parts of this beautiful life. It might sound very YOLO, but you only know what you really think of something when you start to unbound. For instance, I enjoy creative writing. To be frank, I was a little skeptical of starting a blog site, with a hundred thoughts bouncing in my head. But I decided I'd at least give it a shot, what's the worst that could happen?! I was blown away by such overwhelming responses! So go ahead and shoot your shot with that one thing you have always wanted to do! That accomplished feeling when you like what you're doing and you're doing what you like is priceless.

3. Surround yourself with the right people
One major part of your interactions reflects what kind of people you would want to surround yourself with. Not everyone is perfect unless you're Harry Styles. That's a whole another story then! Anyone who knows me knows my absolute love for the show Suits, an American legal drama. One fine day as I was watching an interview with Trevor Noah and Gina Torres (who plays a boss woman, Jessica Pearson), an ear-catching statement caught my attention.
Who else is going to tell our stories if not us
Which brings me to the next point.

4. Be appreciative
We often look up to someone with a charming and bold personality. I like to believe that doing good multiplies, just random acts of kindness can bring in so much delight, and when it is passed on, it's a whole chain. It does not take much effort to be nice to someone. It is rather pleasant to be more supportive instead of bringing negative energy to a discussion. It's not about being nice to an extent where it feels fake, but genuinely think positive.
The beauty of having different-minded people lets you build different perspectives than what you may know. People are beautiful. You always know the kind of vibe someone emits, sometimes by gut feeling. Know whom to trust and share your ups and downs with. Having looked at these tools can boost up one's confidence and embrace the flourishing changes of life that's in store.
Thanks for making my day a bit better!
