Life is a beautiful journey full of surprises. What lays ahead, no one knows. Over-time, I have learned to look at the brighter side of this blissful journey of life, conquering obstacles that come in my way. The innocence of childhood being passed on is something that makes me inquisitive. One fine summer morning, as I was standing by the balcony, a kid hardly 5 years, stopped her parents to gaze at an airplane flying high in the sky. These instances really make the kid inside me spring up!
Being a teenager, I was opened up to a whole new world of exposure. Living in a competitive world, we, as humans, try our best to fit in. We are under constant pressure to be our best self, and be prepared for what’s to come.
Open-mindedness is warmly welcomed in today’s generation. Topics like mental health, gay rights, and women empowerment have been gaining immense recognition and importance. Something that makes a hopeful future, in my opinion, is the changing mindsets of people, striving to live in a judgment-free society. While voicing an opinion is acceptable, it must be ensured that sentiments are not hurt while doing so. The impact of passing a severe judgment can be very vulnerable and disturbing.

In his book ‘The audacity of hope’, Barack Obama reflects his ideas about unspoken elements that have been pertaining, and the importance of values, faith, and empathy. ‘Hope for the best,' we all say; it is what gets us through difficult times. The impact of positive thinking and a hopeful frame of mind is immaculate. Millions have lost their lives in this pandemic. But faith keeps us going. Giving up is not a solution. We are always taught to get back up and kick it up a notch.
Accepting harsh realities is something we all find challenging. Striving to give our best, failure is a part of the learning process. Although it may seem brutal, what matters is giving another shot. Baby steps are better than no steps. I often find myself trying to step out of my comfort zone. I think I speak for everyone when I say quarantine has presented a blissful opportunity to get started with long term goals. Grabbing opportunities that help develop overall and get an exposure is extremely vital in today’s world.

What we can do to keep the ball rolling is to open up about things that matter and pass on these values to the generations to come and create a positive space to exist. There is a fine line between forcing a tradition upon someone and passing it on. What may seem the best to one may seem antipodal to the other. We learn to question rather than blindly follow what is told.
Emphasizing on creating a more inclusive environment, seeking to change for good and connect well with fellow beings, this era of positive initiations leads us to a hopeful future.
